Man and woman of the day

Assadilov and Zaretska are the man and woman of the day. Kazakhstan’s Assadilov won his 5th K1 Premier League out of 7 possible in 2019. This is the only man that did this great performance.
On her side, Azerbaijan’s Irina Zaretska won her 3rd K1 Premier League in a row after Tokyo and Moscow. Of course Assadilov and Zarestka end Grand winner 2019 in their category.

Actions of the day

Coming back to the highest level, Iran’s Amir Mehdizadeh, winner of the K1 after his flag victory over the Turkish Ozer, offered his protections to the children in the gym, like France’s Steven Da Costa who do the same before him after his victory in the bronze match.

Another notorious fact of the day is the victory Turkey’s Samdan 8-0 in 1'30 against Venezuela’s Martinez in the bronze final of -60kg.

Finally, we saw a magnificent combination from Egypt’s Attia, feint of mawashi geri jodan to finish in Ura mawashi jodan. A gesture that gives her 3 points and the victory against Turkish Yakan.
