Douglas Brose, it’s a Karate monument ! Since his 1st Worlds in 2006. As of the following ones, in 2008, he won the 1st of his 4 world medals in a row. It is bronze. Winner of the World Games in 2009 (2nd in 2013), he was crowned world champion for the first time in 2010. 2nd in 2012, he won the title in 2014. Meanwhile, he won the World Combat Games in St- Petersburg.

He then chained 4 Pan American champion titles from 2014 to 2017. Once again crowned in 2019, at 34, Douglas Brose is still in the race for Olympic qualification. N ° 4 world -60 kg, n ° 9 Olympic -67 kg, he is preceded by Assadilov, Samdan, Crescenzo and, especially for the blow, his compatriot Vinicius Figueira (-67 kg).

The Brazilian selection at TQO (if Figueira does not qualify directly) will be played between them. There remain 3 Karate 1 before the verdict of April 6, Dubai (February 14-16), Salzburg (February 28-30) and Rabat (March 13-15)… Hajime !
