This is THE event of the end of the year. The legendary Kenji Midori, World champion of Kyokushinkai Karate in 1991, will be in Paris to give a seminar on October 27th and 28th. Close student of Mas. Oyama, who had taken him under his wing, he distinguished himself thanks to an impressive speed of execution and, above all, spectacular techniques very well mastered (Tobi Kakato Otoshi in particular).

Winner of the All Japan in 1985 (-70 kg), he won the World championships in 1991, in  the Open weights category despite his light weight ! Kenji Midori is by then the last World champion of unified Kyokushin.

After Oyama's death, he took his own path. In 2003, he founded the World Karate Organization (WKO), of which he is still president, and developed the Shinkyokushin Karate, an increasingly popular school. Kenji Midori is forever one of the Bigs of contemporary Karate.

Venue : Institut National du Judo (INJ), 21-25 avenue de la Porte de Châtillon, 75014 Paris.
