On this last day of the World championships in Madrid, the show was on. In kumite as in kata, Iran and Japan hold their world titles. Turkey and Spain failed to overthrow the hierarchy.

Team Kumite: Iran overthrows Turkey

Led 2-0 by the Turksish team, the reigning world champion Iran finally won 3-2. Under the impetus of Poorshab who won the 2-1 battle, Sajad Ganjzadeh offered his country the final victory. Composed of Asgari, Asiabari, Ganjzadeh,Poorshab,Heydari and Khodabakhshi, Iran remains on the roof of the world.

Bronze: Japan b. Azerbaijan,

Italy b. Senegal, 3-0

Team Kata: Japan s in control

After a high-level performance by the Spanish team, Japan, led by Ryo Kiyuna, flew over the debates with a kata and a bunkai from another planet. Physically above the Spanish trio, the Japanese katamen also made the difference with their technique and their martial side. They won 5-0. Reigning world champions, the Japanese champions and their famous Anan Daï remain undefeatable.

Iran b. Turkey, 3-2

Female team kata : Gold goes to Japan

This final could be tighter than the men's one but finally not. With a great Unsu and a technical, traditional and spectacular bunkai, Japan won 5-0 over Spain. Carried by their fans, the Spanish girls did not succeed in dethroning the Japanese team with their Paiku.
