Samdan is back !

The final was so tight (2-2) that the opinion of the main referee (Hanteï) had to be used to designate the winner, the Turkish Eray Samdan. The Greek Cristos Stefanos Xenos has to satisfied with the silver medal. The Italian Crescenzo, beaten by Filipov, was eliminated in the round robin.

The surprise Aghalazarde

Former sparring of Rafael Aghayev, the Azerbaijani Turla Aghalazarde won his 1st title yesterday in Poland.

In a final that was also very tight (0-0) and concluded by Hanteï, he was declared winner at the expense of the Greek Xenos Dyonisos. Pavlov, Uygur and Tadissi could not qualify for the final.

Plank keeps the title

She is indestructible ! Bettina Plank has again written a golden line in her records. The Austrian dominated the Italian Erminia Perfetto in the final (1-0) and won her second consecutive European Games.

Defeated in the round robin by Plank (5-3), the legend Serap Ozcelik is in bronze.

Terliuga, of course !

They are inseparable ! Anzhelica Terliuga and Ivet Goranova met again in the final in a remake of the Olympic one.

But, since Tokyo, the Ukrainian took the measure of the Bulgarian and won again (2-0). This is her 7th victory in 9 competitions.

Luxemburg’s Jennifer Warling, who injured her knee last December, made a successful comeback by winning the bronze medal.

Quintero undefeated at the European Games !

3rd European Games, 3rd gold medal for the Spanish ! Damian Quintero is the only athlete to have achieved this feat. The European champion and vice-world champion beat the Turkish Ali Sofuoglu in the final (44.60 / 44.10).

The Italian Mattia Busato, defeated by Quintero in pool, is in bronze.

Paola Garcia Lozano confirms

She is only 17 years old and she has already won the European championships and the European Games ! In the final, the Spaniard again dominated the French Helvetia Taily (43.92 / 41.20).

Disappointment for the Turkish Dilara Bozan, dominated by Garcia Lozano and the Greek Xenou in the round robin, and does not appear on the podium.
