This Friday, September 14th was held in Berlin the women's kata event. For this first world competition for the Olympic ranking, nothing has much changed. In the final, the two-times World champion, Kiyou Shimizu of Japan, and the World n°1, Spain’s Sandra Jaime Sanchez. In the male kata team, Spain will face the WKF team with the Al-Mosawy brothers.

The 5-0 score was in on Friday at the Berlin SportZentrum for Kiyou Shimizu and Sandra Jaime Sanchez. The two world women's kata leaders simply did not concede a flag to reach the final !

The two-time world champion in 2014 and 2016, after having pushed aside Sandy Scordo in the second round and her sister Natsuki in the quarter-finals, defeated her compatriot Emi Iwamoto in the semifinal.
Meanwhile, Spain's Sandra Jaime Sanchez defeated Viviane Bottaro of Italy (5-0) in the semifinals for a remake of the last European championships’ final.
